Best Christmas Lights in West Michigan

Updated for 2023~We love going around and seeing how everyone decorates their home during this time of year! Check out our compilation of some of our favorite Christmas light shows! If you have a favorite spot make sure to share it with us!

  • LMCU Ballpark-One of the most popular locations to see a big light show-5/3 Ballpark never fails to disappoint. The mile long ride through light display is a West Michigan staple. Make sure you plan out enough time though! Lines can be pretty long somedays! It is open until January 2 and hours are Sunday-Thursday 5:30-9:30pm, Friday and Saturday 5:30pm-10pm. They are even open on holidays, so you can go enjoy them on Christmas Day! Tickets are $25/vehicle with proceeds donated to the Grand Rapids Veteran Home
  • Crane Orchards Light Show-Brand New in 2023! Crane Orchards has added a drive-thru light show for the Christmas season! All the display items are handmade with wood or metal! Cost is $20-$25/car depending on the seating capacity of your vehicle. Showtimes are Fridays-Sundays. You can find more information about times and events on their Facebook page.
  • West Michigan Downtown Areas (Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Holland, Zeeland, and Allendale)-All of these areas have thousands of lights on display. You can drive through or just take a walk downtown under the lights. You might even see some cool storefront displays! You can watch the video for some drive-by footage!

  • Coopersville-Maybe this should have been included in the downtown areas, but we thought it warranted its own as it is houses that are decorated and not the actual downtown area itself. Lots of cool light displays here that you can add into your West Michigan tour!

  • 4063 Cambridge Dr. and Sun Meadow Lane in Hudsonville. These are both musical light displays, so make sure you turn your radio on to enjoy the full experience! Check out the videos below. (video footage from our good friend  and past client, Diane Miller)

  • 5823 Sage River Ct in Wyoming-This is a five house display of synchronized lights that has been going for over 3 years and has become of part of many families’ traditions. They even have a Facebook page you can check out.

  • 6344 E Garfield Rd, Hesperia, MI-Head North about an hour from Grand Rapids and you can see the spectacular light display by the Deater Family! The shows run 45 minutes with a 15 minute break in between from 5pm-9pm! You can pull right up in the driveway and watch the whole thing! Check out their Facebook page for more information on show dates/times.

  • 276 E. Kenwood Rd, Twin Lake, MI-This huge walkthrough lights display is a great treat for young and old! There are tons of inflatables, arches, lights, and more!
