We love highlighting small businesses across West Michigan. Many of our friends own small businesses and are doing great things in their markets! - Cookies By Design: Among all the great smells from the restaurants in the area of Ivanrest and 44th in Grandville, is the sweet smell of cookies and cupcakes. Follow your nose to the source of that, and you’ll find Cookies by Design nestled between Potbelly and Batteries Plus in the strip mall in front of Cabela’s. We’ve used them in the past for our closing baskets and are excited to be partnering with them again to give you the best cookies around! They have dozens of flavors to choose from everyday in both their cookies and cupcakes which will make it hard to choose which one you want! Don’t forget to pick up a treat for your dog too! ~Mark Deering
2. Noble Appliance: Trying to get an appliance can be a headache especially if you needed one yesterday. At Noble Appliance you can walk out with any of their appliances on the floor that day. They buy open box appliances that are brand new, but may have some cosmetic issues, and sell them to you at a discount from what you would find at the big box stores. The idea started in a garage and now they have 7 stores with more to come! ~Will Burns

4. CrossFit Allendale: My small business feature is one of my most visited places other than home and work throughout the week! Brother and sister pair, Josh and Kate Connelly opened CrossFit Allendale back in 2014! CrossFit by definition is a lifestyle characterized by safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition. CrossFit can be used to accomplish any goal, from improved health to weight loss to better performance. The program works for everyone — people who are just starting out and people who have trained for years. (Crossfit.com) I have been to ‘CFA’ since their early beginnings! It has been an awesome community to be apart of finding it as a great way to keep active, be a little competitive and build great relationships with the people! ~Kevin Ahrens
