Parade of Homes Spring 2020

We are huge fans of Parade of Homes! We love going around and seeing what builders in the area are up to, and the trends in interior design. With Covid-19 this year, the spring edition was pushed back, and honestly, we didn’t know if it was going to happen. We are excited to see it is happening and headed out to see 3 houses from three builders we hadn’t seen before!

First stop is House #1. One of the biggest houses in the parade this year, this house from Snowden Builders, is a standout! This house has 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms and 6,749 sq. ft. and is a must see on our list!

It has a traditional feel with some interesting architectural features. Tons of rich wood fills the house from the floors to the tray ceilings to columns in the main living area and basement.

The kitchen is fit for any kind of entertaining you could want with a massive island and storage everywhere! Despite the traditional feel, there are many modern amenities, like a temperature controlled shower, remote control shades, and smart appliances.

Upstairs was dedicated to the owners’ girls. They have their own sitting areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms. They even have their own kitchenette! This house definitely impressed!

Next we headed to House #5 in Hudsonville from Blair Builders. Think modern chic with some art deco flair and that’d be close to the style of this house. This house is a 4 bed, 3.5 bath with over 3,500 sq. ft. is bright, airy, and homey.

We love the simplicity of the white with muted blues and golden accents from the wood tones and lighting.

This kitchenette in the basement is gorgeous with the white tile wall and built in shelving. The detail and contrast of the grey and wood on the cabinets really sets this off!

More beautiful detailing is found in the master bedroom with this beautiful accent wall! This house was a beautiful one to walk through!

Finally we wrapped up our tour at house #7 from North Cove Builders. This 5 bed, 3.5 bath, 3,124 sq. ft. house is situated on waterfront property. There were some unique features in this house that we hadn’t seen before!

This kitchen was huge as well as the island! Beautiful space for entertaining.

This bar in the basement is an awesome space for those summer nights while hanging out at the fire pit outside!

This is so cute! We’ve seen a number of houses where the space under the stairs is repurposed as a play area, but we hadn’t seen this house detail before!

If you are planning on going to Parade of Homes this weekend, we recommend adding a couple of these houses to your list! There were some really neat features in these houses that we liked and as usual we had a great time talking to builders and exploring what’s new! Looking forward to seeing what houses are out there for the Fall version in a few months!
